FE134 (Dr. Ruge-Jones)

We are in college now. This is when we are out of the house, and we are certified as adults. This is the time when we set out on our own to make our own paths and be true to ourselves. So why do all these people around me keep living in their parent's shadows? Why do they defy their parents and be themselves in secret, but hide that side to their parents? I for one don't see the point in living if you aren't being you and doing what you want. Obviously don't completely ignore everything your parents say, they have alot you can learn from, But if they feel one way and you another, go do your thing. if it fails miserably, then crawl back and try mommy and daddy's way. Think of it this way, you waited your whole childhood to be a grown up and now you are one, why are you persisting in acting like a child?

Having the semester so close to endig take a big load off my chest, but not off my brain. It means final, but it also means i get a month off after and just get to relax and have some fun. I think I will miss my friends form here, but who knows maybe things can happen over the break to get together and have some fun. Finals are gonna be stressful, but i am willing to eal with it if it is gonna let me go home and get some rest and have fun. Good luck on finals and have fun on the break!!!

This book was an amazing change in not only my point of vew, but many people's points of views at life. It makes you realize all of the suffering that we think is bad, look like something so lttle. People of our generation complain of not having nice things, while soe people don't even have an ugly thing that in their eyes is so great. I learned that people go through so many sruggles and that we as people should try to help one another in any type of situation or condition. Helping people just for the heck of it is a way just to give back and be able to smile and know you were the light shining in that persons world.

How many people actually achieve what they want in life, and how do they do it? I hear that it's all about hard work and effort, or that it's about who you know, or that it's about your education and where you go to college. To me, if i want my future it kind of takes a combination of all of those. All of them can help you in some way to get where you want to be in life. It will take all of those and just plain being myself and expressing who I am to et what I want to fulfill in life.

Its so funny how when you are in high school, its more like people listen to just about one or two types of varieties of music. When i got here, i started listening to many different types of music. From different hip hop artists, to some great pump up rock music. I love music especially country and hip hop. My favorite hip hop artist would have to be Lil Wayne because he is just a genius. He is the best rapper alive and just the king of hip hop. I believe music can help get you through anything because it just sets your mind on th rythm and the words and just gets you away from everything.

The study abroad presentation was really good. I give the lady in charge an A+ for all of the hard work she does for all of the students that are in the study abroad program. She takes so much time out of her life to travel and get people to come to our campus while also trying to help the people from TLU get adjusted to being in a whole other country. I would love to study abroad one of these semesters, but with baseball it probably wouldn't happen. But at least I was given the opportunity. I would encourage people to tak advantage of it because it seems like a great experience.
